The speaker design project allowed for exploration of design into a device that properly amplified sound while creating an aesthetic form.
Project Goals:

Learn and apply the science of sound amplification to form

Create sketches and models of ideas

Use tools and/or a laser cutter with polystyrene material to develop final model

Edit and modify model image in Adobe Photoshop

Creating a chamber-like interior where sound travels from a smaller space to a larger space in general terms, causes sound to be amplified.
